This includes reviewing symposium evaluations, soliciting input from DCWC Committees and the Board, inviting and confirming speakers within two months post-conference, and managing speaker details and communications. Additionally, the committee identifies moderators, room assistants, selects posters and student research projects for presentation, and ensures moderators are prepared for interactive sessions.

The Media and Marketing Committee is tasked with promoting the council's annual symposium and webinars through various media channels such as social media, email campaigns, and press releases to boost awareness and attendance. The committee develops and maintains the council's brand identity, monitors and analyzes marketing campaign effectiveness, and adjusts strategies to enhance outreach and engagement. Additionally, it manages student interns by recruiting, supervising, assigning tasks, and fostering a positive educational environment to support their professional development. This committee is essential for increasing the visibility and impact of the council's initiatives and ensuring the successful promotion of events.

The Outreach and Education Committee organizes and facilitates educational initiatives to promote dairy cattle welfare. Key responsibilities include planning and coordinating 16 annual webinars (8 in English and 8 in Spanish), liaising with expert speakers, and preparing promotional materials. The coordinator also develops and curates educational content, such as research summaries and best practice guidelines, for dissemination via the Council's website and social media. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with industry professionals and academic institutions to ensure relevant and impactful content, as well as monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of outreach initiatives and reporting progress to the Board. This position is crucial in advancing dairy cattle welfare through education and informed practice.

The Strategic Advisory Committee is primarily advisory, focusing on providing strategic planning advice and institutional knowledge to the Executive Board. Additionally, it assists in fundraising efforts and oversees foundation or endowment funds for the DCWC. The committee consists of three or more individuals with previous service as Officers or Directors on the Executive Board.

The Consumer and Animal Advocacy Committee has an advisory role, aimed at fostering relationships and dialogue with consumer and activist groups to promote understanding and communication on dairy cattle welfare issues. Additionally, the committee contributes to the annual Symposium's program development and collaborates with the Executive Board and other DCWC committees to advance the welfare of dairy cattle globally. The committee members should have a demonstrated interest in dairy animal health and wellbeing, extending beyond traditional animal science and veterinary perspectives to include fields such as ethology, sociology, and consumer advocacy.
